The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West, in partnership with multi-Michelin-starred Chef Enrico Bartolini, presents an exclusive Virtual Culinary Experience with Italy’s most awarded Michelin chef.
Join us in celebrating the Authentic Italian Table, IACCW’s annual event showcasing creative Italian recipes and products of Denomination of Controlled Origin. The Authentic Italian Table is an annual event within the framework of True Italian Taste, a campaign funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and led by Assocamerestero. This experience is supported by Lavazza.
HOW IT WORKS:
Chef Bartolini will provide two exclusive recipes for you to recreate at home at your leisure, and we’ll all meet on September 15 to discuss the results and all things Italian food with Chef. Be sure to take pictures or video of how it turned out at home as we’ll award one lucky participant with a chance to win a dining experience for 2 with wine pairing in Milan at his acclaimed 3-Michelin stars restaurant MUDEC (Museum of Cultures)!
In this virtual experience, you won’t be expected to make room for your laptop in the kitchen during a live “cook-along”. Instead, we’ll provide all of the fresh ingredients you’ll need a few days in advance so you can prepare these dishes when you’d like to. (Don’t worry, Enrico will share the recipes and complete cooking instructions in a video!).
The ingredients (enough for 2 people) will be sourced by Chef Steve Samson from Los Angeles’ Rossoblu restaurant and shipped directly to you before the event. All you need to do is have fun cooking them at home, photograph or record the highlights, share via Social and be ready to discuss your successes and questions with Chef Bartolini (and a few other special guests) during the group virtual conversation on September 15.

About the Authentic Italian Table Event Series
IACCW, together with other Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, has joined forces with the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and Assocamerestero to educate the general public and encourage buyers and consumers alike to be the conscious of authentic Made in Italy products vs. Italian sounding buyers trends.
By Italian sounding phenomenon one refers to purchase of products that have been made to look and sound like their Italian equivalents despite the fact that these imitations have no connection to Italy.
The “True Italian Taste” project is aimed at enhancing the Italian agri-food industry in order to increase its knowledge among consumers and consumption in target foreign markets, where products of Italy are most popular but are actually not of Italian origin.
The activities, (in person- or online) which will be taking place over the next two years, are addressed to importers, distributors, hotel chain purchasing managers and specialty stores, chefs, food bloggers, journalists, nutritionists, opinion leaders and world-famous food and wellness enthusiasts. Activities will include business trips to Italy for food and wine buyers, workshops, seminars and promotional events abroad as well as other initiatives.
The “True Italian Taste” project is promoted and funded by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and implemented by Assocamerestero in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad. True Italian Taste is part of the "The Extraordinary Italian Taste" program which aim is to enhance and safeguard the authentic Italian food product.
